Threadhopping: Organization is good, but if it makes sense, go for it.
Fourthwalling: Depends on the offense in question, but as long as it doesn't freak my boy out too much, s'fine by me. Most likely he'll just think you're crazy.
Offensive subjects: I'm cool with most things. I'm more about how offensive subjects are handled than the subjects themselves.

Kissing this character: He's very polite and rather old-fashioned, so he's likely to think that scandalous unless it's in private and there's some kind of commitment going on....

Powers/Abilities: Lyall has recently gained Anubis form, which gives him the ability to turn others into werewolves if they have the quality that allows for the transformation. He will not be doing this without a lot of plotting ahead of time, and likely not without a lot of thought ahead of time, too, but he will be entirely open to doing so (especially as ship people have little risk, and will likely come back even if they die! :D ).

I will leave whether any specific individual has the right quality up to the player.

Hi! Before we start this thread, how much should we assume about their current relationship? I'm up for anything - a hilariously rocky relationship where she just constantly escapes from him all the time would be funny, but there's also room for her to be a stunningly polite princess to him, given that the worst he could have done was give her a bath (which she doesn't mind all that much._ I'd say she's got a pretty good opinion of him, and would probably allow herself to be carried in a bag or on his shoulder. Leashes are a no go though. Sorry if this is oddly specific or out of the blue, I just didn't want to reply to the thread first before hashing this out!

Haha, hi there! If she's not been trying to run away and has been on good behavior, shoulder is actually what I was thinking? X3 He won't have any bags on hand, and I think leashes weird him out a little, too. (He's a wolf in there somewhere. Leashes suck on wolves).

I also think maybe somewhere between stunningly polite princess and little hellion... cuz I don't see her NOT testing boundaries, but if she respects him (and he keeps feeding her and giving her access to important stuff) I like the idea of a kind of friendship, too? :)

Shoulder sounds good, no leashes sounds even better! I can see her now... sitting around his shoulders and yelling in his ear whenever she's annoyed at him. How nice... >D

She's tested every boundary she can, all right! She's smart enough not to chew up anything in his house, fortunately, but she'll climb everything and remember what is in and out of bounds as of the first time he says it. The first day after the bath was probably him following her around the house and telling her "No, not there! Not there either - oh. Ok, yes, that's fine, just don't knock any of the books down..." etc. She can be (and will be) a great big bully, but he's letting her stay for free! She'll appreciate that.

Climbing on things is actually totally fine, except for the bookshelf with all the biology stuff (a couple skulls, a couple jars of formaldehyde with things in them, sponges, etc) and the top of his dresser, where he keeps family pictures. Oh, and on top of the stove and in the sink, but that's just common sense :B Everywhere else he really doesn't mind. He'll get her a little box on his way home from the dead district, I think, and get some "ferret food" at the same time :|

I'm getting a post out for the Aaron scene now to set up what's been done with the two of them, and you can tag in after? :D

(And yes, she got a bath. and a combing for fleas)

let's just say that whenever she's really angry at him she gets in the bathroom sink and doesn't get out until he apologizes and/or turns the faucet on

Taking care of her will be just like taking care of a cat, but easier! No additional ferret cages or toys necessary. Oh, also, she's trying to learn how to read, seeing as how even as a pirate Romsca was/is illiterate, so Lyall will come back from work to find books tipped over with his ferret nowhere in sight. 8)

Boooooks. Y'know, whenever he cottons on to her being smart, he'd totally TEACH her how to read. Cuz everyone ought to know that. And also, considering Lyall will have his laptop open a lot when he's around her, feel free to have her play with the keys or try to read things there, too.

Ferrets usually have a habit of chewing squishy things, like sponges or pillows, but you lucked out with this one, Lyall. :DD No need to ferret-proof anything!

YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU!! Basic literacy shouldn't take all that long, considering she's a young ferret and she's still learning things on her own, but she'll never have mastery unless this game ends up stretching out to 4+ years, lmfao.

OH AND ALSO... If he wants to try and give her a name, or if he'd like to poll the network for a name, I (and she) absolutely do not mind! She'll answer to anything until she remembers her real name, and then... well, that'll be confusing, but she'll deal with it!

Oversized sweaters, floppy hats, and big coats. Those are Lyall's suggestions. Pretend she's a light-phobic ten year old and bundle her up so no one can see the fur and the muzzle, and hope the tail doesn't get a life of its own :D

She won't be named Roscha XD I'm not that mean. More likely he'd pick a badger name, cuz she's not evil like the ferrets :B But yeah, that was more of a joke than anything else! XD He might lean towards Stella, actually, cuz he's really even more of a biologist than he is a fantasy geek....

Heee. Maybe by the time she gets that big there won't be so much hiding X3 hiding is the name of the game for Season One, but I think that's likely to change come season Two? (Also, she is the same height as Lyall XD That's awesome)

By the time she's big enough to wear decent clothes, Lyall will have enough of himself back to be a better dresser, and he will cringe at her fashion sense. CRINGE I TELL YOU.

I am toooooo. I'm still trying to decide on my second character. Cuz obviously throwing LYall at EVERYTHING isn't gonna work :| I've got a teenage homeless girl who's also a tiefling thief, from an older PC video game... and an elf mage reborn as a cop, genderswitched. And a prettyboy land-healing mage from the Valdemar books is poking at my brain a little, too. AND I CAN'T DECIDE ;.;

Hahaha, oh Romsca, you're so mean <3 Lyall really WILL cringe at her going out in public clashing. I love it.

Actually, it was Star Kingdom? Very slice of life, I only joined for pretty much the entire Sailor Moon cast being there (I also play Sailor Uranus as one of my various fandom characters), but I didn't last long cuz I need plot =/

haaaaa XD nope, I don't! Lyall might, but he'll cope ;) at least you've made your decision! I'm still waffling. Blarg. Part of me REALLY wants to play out the cop, for the gender issues and the family issues she'll have and for the inside interest in the police stuff, but I know her reactions will be in line with a lot of people already here and reacting. And the teenage tiefling would be fun, but I already have her in another game and I'm not sure I could get in her head in two games? And the mage I've never played before, so :B

Also, I had the thought to do an open action log thing for Friday, with Lyall taking Romsca to school? ^^ Kind of an... end of the week surprise for his classes. You could get some new kid CR that way, maybe even an after-school former-student CR if it works out.

Yeah! Oooh, is it all right if the post for that leads in with Romsca messing with Lyall's computer in the classroom? Like, if he were logged into the network already, she could accidentally trigger video and stare into the camera, sniffing at the screen. Cue Lyall walking in and shooing her away... would that be all right?

Well, the mage I'm pretty sure I could despite not having played him... he's just yet another pretty gay boy in a game full of pretty gay boys XD Tiefling I'm iffy on, since she's a kind of quirky muse. So I guess that leaves me with the cop ^^' At least she also has a family ans stuff, which can be a change to play out from my chronically single surrogate-dad werewolf...

Oh man, I wish I could do that, but Lyall's laptop has no video :( If you like, though, we could plan an over-the-weekend joint post where he GETS a webcam and she does that? ^^ That'll give you more room to do your own posts, going forward, and get him more in line with the times.

aww... that's cool! yeah, i don't want to bug you for posts, since you've got a zillion different plots going on already, but if you're open to the idea, i'd be down! it wouldn't have to be right away, either - we can always stretch it out until lyall icly finds a need to get one.

I'm open to the idea :) and we'll figure out timing. It'd be easy enough for one of his students to tell him to get with the times or something XD and he does need a headset anyway.... Trying to decide whether to have Lyall go out to the fortified farm they found last weekend, on this weekend, or whether he'll be too distracted by the werewolf issue... if he goes maybe he can take her XD But Romsca will definitely notice that the idea of werewolves is disturbing to him :B
